Paneer Butter Masala (Paneer Makhani)

Introduction :
Most of us, whenever we go to any Indian Restaurant we order any one of the dish with Paneer. Without paneer the dinner is just not complete. Paneer Butter Masala is a North Indian dish , it is one of the most popular main course food items in Indian restaurants. If you are looking for an everlasting impression from friends and family, try this rich and festive paneer recipe.




Ingredients:
  • Paneer ( Cottage Cheese) -  400 grms ( cut into squares)
  • Tomatoes -  8 ( peel off the tomatoes for making puree)
  • Onions  - 2 medium size
  • Cashews - 1 small cup
  • Butter - 3 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Red chili Powder -  1 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Kasuri Methi Powder (Fenugreek leaves) - 2 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/3 tsp
  • Creame (or) Milk - 1/2 cup

    Preparation :
    • Fry Cashews, Onions and tomatoes in a pan with 1 tsp of oil.
    • Make a fine paste of these three ingredients and keep it aside.
    • In a pan heat 3 tsp of butter and 1 tsp of oil. 
    • Add Ginger garlic paste and red chili powder and fry it for 30 seconds.
    • Now add the above tomato, onion and cashews puree to this.
    • Add Salt and stir well and cover it with a lid and cook for 5 mins.
    • Add Dry roasted the Kasuri Methi (make it powder), Garam Masala, Cardamom powder and Sugar.
    • Now you add the paneer pieces ( cottage cheese) into the gravy and add creme or little bit milk to it  and saute it well. Remove the flame after 2 minutes.
    The delicious Paneer Butter Masala is ready to serve. You can garnish it with coriander leaves. This would be good to eat with Roti's and Chapati's.

      Paneer Tikka



      Introduction :

      Paneer Tikka is a famous North Indian dish. It is very easy to prepare and very good in taste. You can surprice your guests with its delicious taste in few minutes.




















      Ingredients:
      • Paneer ( Cottage Cheese) - 250 grams ( cut it into 2 inch pieces)
      • Capsicum - 1 cup ( Cut it like sqare shape pieces)
      • Onion -    1 cup (Cut it  like sqare shape pieces)
      For Marination :
      • Carom Seeds ( Vaamu )  - 1 tsp
      • Gram Flour   -   1/4 th cup
      • Yogurt or Curd  -  1/2 cup
      • Red Chilli Powder -    1 tsp
      • Salt   -  According to taste
      • Garam Masala -   1/2 tsp
      • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
      • Lemon Juice - 3 tsps
      • Kasturi Methi - 1 tsp
      • Oil - 2 tsp
      • Butter - 2 tsp


















      Preparation :

      • In a pan add  2 tsp of butter, add Carom seeds (vaamu) to it. And also add gram flour, roast it well until you get nutty flavour.
      • These three ingredients mixture should be like a paste. Take this mixture into a bowl.
      • To this mixture add Yogurt or curd (preferably full creme), Red chilli Powder, Salt , Garam Masala, Dry roasted Kasturi methi, Ginger Garlic paste and Lemon Juice . Mix the whole thing nicely.
      • In a pan heat 2 tsp of oil and sprinkle turmeric in to it and immediate add this oil to the above mixture and mix it well and marinate it for 5 mins.
      • Now add Pneer ( Cottage Cheese), Capsicum and Onions to the mixture and mix it well.
      • Take Satay sticks or you can also use Tooth picks for threading them. 
      • You can thred them like one paneer piece , one onion piece and one capsicum as alternatives.
      • Place the sticks on greased tray.
      • Preheat the Oven to 300 degrees fahrenheit or 150 Centigrade and grill them for 20 mins or till golden from all the sides.
      • Serve it with green chutney or tomato sauce.
